KATHARINE FRIEDGEN

For my first people person, I’m writing a big fat thank you post to/about my friend Katharine Friedgen.

Katie not only took my amazing headshots,

and some
amazing pictures of my visit to Philly,

she even
featured me in her blog!

Katie is one of the most enthusiastic and invested people I know. She approached each project she takes on with total enthusiasm and she delivers amazing products. I’m a huge fan of her work as a graphic designer, artist, and performer. And she still manages to be one of my most fun and exciting friends. If you’re looking for headshots, graphics, a guide to the arty side of Philly, or someone to convince you to wear rainbow colored
lamé to karaoke-- Katie’s your girl!

Check out some stuff she’s done without my face in it at:

GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY, CENTER FOR THE ARTS

Assistant Stage Manager
GMU CFA
“Since October 1990, when the doors to the Concert Hall opened, the arts in Northern Virginia have not been the same. The Center for the Arts plays a key role in the cultural vitality of the Washington Metropolitan region, attracting more than 100,000 patrons each year to performances by local artists and ensembles; community events; student and faculty productions; the award-winning offerings of Theater of the First Amendment; and our own multi-disciplinary series — Great Performances at Mason.”
At CFA
my job title was Assistant Stage Manager, but I served as a secondary stage manager for the Concert Hall. I assisted on large rental events and series presentations, I served as stage and office support for the production office, and I stage managed smaller concerts and series/rental events. We work mostly with dance and music concerts as well as touring dance and opera presentations.
